Freehold is a type of property ownership in which the owner has full and permanent rights to use, occupy, and dispose of the property for an unlimited period of time. In a freehold property ownership, the owner has the right to transfer the property, rent it out, or pass it on to future generations. In contrast to leasehold, freehold ownership provides more security and control over the property.
